DBCT

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) is a port facility which exports metallurgical and thermal coal mined in the Bowen Basin region of Queensland, Australia. DBCT’s revenue is underpinned by long term take or-pay contracts with some of the world’s largest mining companies. With completion of the Stage 7 expansion, DBCT is one of the largest coal export terminals in the world, having a capacity of 85 million tones per annum (Mtpa). Terms and conditions for access by customers to the services provided at DBCT are regulated by the QCA.

Regulatory Environment

Terms and conditions of access are regulated by the QCA. The current Access Undertaking expires on 31 December 2010.

Bowen Basin coal mines. DBCT customers include some of the world's largest mining companies.  Customer agreements are in the form of long term take-or-pay contracts.

Asset Age & Condition

New assets (post expansion) will have an average life of > 40yrs.
